This unit is rock solid. The lifting action is smooth and positive with virtually zero slop and great stability under load. As a long distance bench rest air rifle shooter I've used all manner of rear rests from 400 dollar purpose built fully adjustable units to 20 dollar sand bags. I'm very impressed.
