It fit the tank on my 2001 V Star gas tank but that is all I can say positive about this. Started leaking in about 1 month. Not a gasket or line issue, it was the valve itself. Bike is stored in a garage and not out in the sun or weather. I have replaced it with a OEM Yamaha part for a few dollars more and have had not had issues or leaks.

I restored an older gas tank and rather than re-use my old petcock I bought a replacement. Fit perfect, no leaks. I'm very happy.
