The holes don't line up with engine. Plastic is very cheap and brittle. Left bolt ear snapped with very little torque even though I drilled out the bolt holes so they lined up.

Had to slightly enlarge the mounting holes. This needs to be done very carefully as the material is quite brittle. Otherwise was the same as the previous pump. I used this on an early Tohatsu MFS4C outboard. Don't buy unless your handy and willing to modify the mouting holes slightly.

I purchased this last winter to install this spring and it does not fit the Mercury 4 Stroke 6 hp engine listed in the description. If you install this it will damage your engine. Very irresponsible of the vendor to sell this as a replacement.

Plastic is brittle and broke when tightening down as the holes didn’t line up exactly. After modification it fit but was louder than original which I think still works as good as this one ever did. Didn’t solve issue so went back to original one.

Beware it doesn’t come with an o ring so save your old one or purchase one otherwise you will lose oil pressure and have leaks, otherwise it works perfectly

Review based on 2018 6hp 4 stroke Mercury: This item did not correctly fit my OB. If you force it you will more than likely strip/crossthread the threads on your motor. I had to drill the holes on this fuel pump to make them slightly wider for the screws to properly align. The item does work well once installed. If you are a backyard mechanic with experience making small mods and you don't mind risking damage to the item/voiding the warranty then it may be worth it. If you are buying the item expecting to just pop it in and work, then I wouldn't recommend it.
