I was able to repair my fishing rod with it, it wasn't perfect, but was able to adequately make the repair. Follow the directions carefully, get the glue good and melty so that it flows around inside of the sleeve of the replacement tip, and then wait 24 hours for the glue to set up.

Repaired two rods with the top tips broken without the insert rings. The new Fuji inert rings are made of very good ceramic material - smooth surface, as the ones in my ugly stik rods. Removed the broken tips by a lighter, and followed the steps in the back of the package. Each repair took about 5 minutes. Very happy with the repaired rods.

These are really nice, good quality and quick to put on your fishing pole. These are assortments of different eyelets for your pole.Luckily I only broke the tip of my pole, so the installation of the new tip was easy. Not sure how hard it would be if it were in the middle of my pole

Simple to use and pretty self explanatory... Just cut broken tip of rod cleanly with a razor or small pipe cutter, roughen tip of your rod with some light sanding, heat glue with a lighter and push on the correct tip for your rod. Quick tip: Dry fit the tip BEFORE gluing, work quickly once you apply the hot glue, and make sure tip is inline with the other guides before glue cools. (If not inline, then use a hairdryer on high to warm up the tip and glue again as opposed to using the lighter and scorching the new tip) .. All in all - super simple... If you can tie a hook, then you can repair your rod!

Last week while fishing off the coast of Florida for snapper, I destroyed the top line guide on my favorite rod. I found this Fugi repair kit on Amazon and thought I would give it a try. It worked amazingly and was much easier to install then I originally believed. My rod looks and works just as it had. The Fuji repair kit comes with three replacement rod guides of different sizes and glue to attach them. Fuji is known for their quality line guides and these are no exception.

The tips are on the small side. Used the largest replacement tip for a 6'6 medium action rod that did not snap. The tip of my old rod just lost the insert so I pried the original tip off. Had the rod tip snapped even a little bit, I don't think it would have fit because the diameter of the pole increases in size as you go towards the base. I now have 2 rod tips I wont be able to use =[The Glue supplied is kind of like a hot glue gun, so I dont have much confidence in the bond. The directions is to heat it up with a lighter so be careful not to burn yourself. I won't know how secure my tip is until I fish.

I love fishing and have 10 or so rods in the garage. I canoe fish mostly and that means a lot of wear and tear on the gear. I've owned some of my rods for many years and a few have seen better days. In particular were three with bad rod tips (gathering dust) that I wanted to at least be able to fix up well enough to be loaners or back up rods. I initially bought this kit in the hopes that 1 of the provided tips would work. I lucked out and fixed three rods in a matter of minutes! So happy to have them back in the rotation and for such a low cost.Went ahead and bought another kit to keep in my tackle box. All you need is a heat source to get the glue (which is included) to melt and something to cleanly snip off your old rod tip (this is key since you can easily mangle and shred the graphite fibers of many rods with a less than powerful and sharp clipping tool) and you are in business. It could easily save a fishing trip.
