This hose splitter seems to be well fabricated and should provide reliable service.I was concerned that there would be enough clearance between the valve handle and the hose fitting. It has on this new one of mine, but that could be a tight fit for you.The hose connector has a steel spring “ O“ Ring to retain the female sleeve nut. I have seen this design retainer let loose such that the fitting came apart from the body, however on this splitter the nut has a small clearance recess machined into the back of it which captures the split spring ring and holds it into it’s groove so that it cannot come apart. A simple machining addition but essential for functional security. As always, I question why they include a roll of Teflon tape with these. ??Teflon tape is used to seal tapered plumbing pipe fittings, not garden hose fittings.Garden hose fittings seal on the rubber gaskets ( extras also included) and using the Teflon would only make the situation worse or confuse the user. Yes, I have seen pictures of someone wrapping the Teflon tape onto the faucet threads and expecting that to seal their leak.Nope. It won’t.Don’t confuse the customer with accessories which are not suited to the job.

I’m using this connected to my front hose to switch between hard water (for plants) and soft water (to wash our cars). Works perfectly!Well made - no leaking.

Got 2 of these. Great flow and no leaks, extra quality washers and teflon tape. Will be looking at this brand for other hose add-ons.
