Great tea, very earthy undertones.

A friend brought me tea from his journey to Japan ,oolong tea, and I wanted to buy it. Is Amazon. This is as close as I could find and it has the same smoothness of the Japanese oolong but isn’t an exact duplicate. Regardless, I would certainly purchase this tea again.

I like Oolong tea but I'm not a tea snob so I can only say, as a simple tea drinker, that this tastes just great to me.

This oolong is pretty good. It has a toasted flavor that's quite appealing. It wasn't my favorite at first, but after repeated efforts, I have found the right amount of tea for my pot and brewing method, and now it's my standard daytime tea. I drink one to two pots every day. Experiment. A little too much or not enough tea ruins the balance.

This is almost a Black Tea, but is still an Oolong. Enjoyable as a morning tea, but OK for the afternoon. Not as refined as some Taiwan Oolong, but the one's I have had from Taiwan were 5 or 10 times the cost. A wonderful value if you enjoy Black Tea and want a dark Oolong flavor.

NOT A PAID REVIEWNot terrible, not top tier. But worth a try to see if it fits your budget parameters. First infusion is quick to steep so I would say a just a few seconds rinse. I did notice a pebble in my batch. (Which down graded an extra star) Vaccum seal was very good on arrival. Good amount of leaves.FLAVOR: 7/10You get a good full flavor of your usual rock Wulong variety. More so of a coffee aroma than a nutty one. Beginning steeps are quite rich, so I advise flash brewing. Very hazelnutty once you cool down your cup. A light touch of honey will bring out the creamy taste.LEAF QUALITY: 6/10Not whole leaves. Some stems. Because they are not whole leaf they are quick to open. Being smaller sized and cut in pieces this will result in much quicker infusions. If you don't like your tea too strong use less leaves. If you do like it stronger, more leaf, but quick brews on your first couple infusions. Steeping generally should last you 4 pours. But with this amount you can afford to be generous with your leaf quantity if you desire.VALUE FOR PRICE: 9/10If you're picky about quali-tea then this will be a down grade from your typical Dan Cong. But for a budget price, this isn't half bad considering the flavor! Decent as an everyday tea, good quantity for what you pay. Just fish out stems and possible pebbles. When I'm in a pinch, I would consider purchasing again.

I have bought a lot of tea on Amazon, and this one is the most cost-effective one I have ever bought, regardless of price or quality. Recommended to everyone who likes to drink Tieguanyin tea. I rarely write reviews but this one I had to write something and yes I was lucky to find this one. I hope the seller will continue to provide such quality products. thank you all!

I really like good tea that has a lot of flavor. I had never heard of tea that was lightly toasted so I gave it a try. The tea comes in a vacuum packed package, surprise one. When I opened the bag, the tea looked like little balls, surprise two. When I brewed the tea, all those little balls unfurled into full tea leaves, surprise three. But the taste was the biggest surprise of all. It has the full earthy flavor of oolong tea with a very light toasted finish. Since buying it, I have been drinking nothing else!
