Hurricane Carbide Tipped Wood Turning Tools are an economical, tough and reliable option for turning bowls, pens, spindles and more! Our carbide cutters can be conveniently rotated as they dull, enabling you to keep turning with a sharp edge. When you do need to rotate the carbide cutter; simply loosen the screw, rotate the insert to a fresh edge, tighten back the screw and keep on turning!
When all of the edges are dull, Hurricane Turning Tools provides replacement cutters for each of our tools. No need for an expensive grinder, CBN wheel or other sharpening accessories; just open the box and start turning! We designed our carbide tools and replacement cutters using industry-standard measurements which means they are compatible with many other popular brands.*

Each Hurricane Mid-Size Carbide Tipped Tool features an ergonomically designed solid beech handle with a 3/8 inch chrome-plated steel barstock providing both durability and comfort.
Hurricane Mid-Size Carbide Tipped Tools feature a #4-40 screw, making them comparable to many other major brands. In fact, you can use virtually any carbide cutter replacement so long as it has a #4-40 screw, is 28mm x 10mm (diamond) and 2.5mm thick.
