I bought these as it’s crabbing season in Perth, Western Australia and OMG, they have saved my hands & fingers from getting bit off haha You can still feel the pressure of the crab claws, but they aren’t biting through and breaking the skin anymore. Best crabbing gloves I’ve had in years. Better than welding gloves as well. They aren’t heavy on your hands in the water at all.

I typically gather from the ocean with no protective gloves (i just use rubber gardening gloves). I was spearing and got my finger bit while braining a trigger so decided to buy these gloves to not get bit/grip fish easier/ collect urchin. These gloves didnt protect me AT ALL from a sea urchin while holding it. You can carry urchins with no issues while gloveless but because of these gloves the spines penetrate EASILY, then break in the glove and thus into your finger. Zero stars if i could. Tossed em in the trash where they belong filled with the chipped uni spines.

Very tough cloves. Been catching a lot of pike lately while trying to catch bass and lake trout due to a stocking program a few lakes upstream from ours. I am not a fan of dealing with slimy, toothy, gator rolling demon fish. These cut resistant gloves with their rubber coating for grip are perfect for handling northern pike. The gloves do fit snug for their size. I ordered the XL because that is my glove size at work and these are a slim fit. Still easy to get on and off though. I did some experimenting with a pocket knife and these gloves offer pretty good protection against sharp objects but I do think a fish hook would still get you if you were not careful. The clip that comes with the gloves is perfect for keeping them secure and accessible on the boat. While there are coated, cut resistant gloves available for less I believe that the current $40 price is fair for the level of protection these ones offer.
