3 PCS Mardi Gras Shawl Scarf Costume by FumwaseI got this Mardi Gras Outfit for Women because of the shawl/scarf. It is beautiful! It is made of purple, gold and green fleur de lis patterns in sequins and embroidery on a thin black background. With the sequins it sometimes looks like each color has a light and regular shade, but it just looks like that in different lights. The background is black and it really shows off these colors. Now this is a thin garment. You have to know that those sequins will attach to anything in sight, from your jewelry to other’s clothing, like when you hug someone. So be aware and never pull it free. The size is much bigger than I realized so I will be wearing it more like a shawl than a scarf, but it could be used as either. I will absolutely be wearing it for the parades and masquerade balls. The other items were long satin gloves and a headband. The satin gloves are a dark purple but are very plain, no embellishments. I won’t be wearing mine so I am giving them to a friend to wear with her Mardi Gras outfit, and she loves them. The headband is stretchy sequins with feathers. Most of the balls we attend do not allow feathers – I forget why – so I won’t be using this either, unless I de-feather it. I am very pleased with this attractive shawl and look forward to using it.
