The table is mostly metal. The only plastic parts are the holders for the legs and anti scuff elements on the legs.Setup is very simple, after opening the table is in its lowest position and the additional leg segments are stored under the tabletop. They simply connect together for higher positions.The table is pretty much rock solid on the lowest and middle heights. At maximum it very slightly moves, but really a lot less than expected. It is not wobbly at all and feels secure. I have no doubt that the table could sustain the manufacturer's maximum load of 30kg as long as it is somewhat evenly distributed.The surface of the table is made from a metal mesh material which should save a little bit of weight. The manufacturer also offers model with solid top. Under the table top there are the holders for the leg segments. They are made out of plastic, so while the table can be used for a grill or a wood stove, these parts might get damaged from the heat. The legs can be stored in a closed table even without these supports in case that happens.The table legs have plastic protectors at the ends and bare metal doesn't touch the floor and will not damage a more delicate surface. On the lowest position the plastic is not fully capped because the extensions slide inside of the top segments. This is something to pay attention to if you are to set up the table in sandy or muddy conditions.Overall this is a very neat portable table. Great for car or canoe camping, backyard events, etc. It's large and sturdy enough to serve as a base for a tabletop telescope and high enough to comfortably use with a portable grill. Recommended.

I didn’t realize a small folding table could bring so much joy, but here we are! If you've ever needed a sturdy little surface at the beach, park, or even in your backyard, this is it. The adjustable height makes it super versatile—I will be using it for snacks at the beach, as a side table at the park, and even as a quick setup for an outdoor meal.One of the best things? We go to outdoor concerts a lot, and we always end up juggling food and drinks on our laps. This table completely solves that problem! It’s lightweight, easy to carry, and folds down compactly enough to toss in a very large tote (The size of the x- large LL Bean canvas types) or store in the car. The sturdy design and coated mesh top make it feel durable, and so far, I have no complaints. If you love the outdoors but hate dealing with awkward seating situations, this little table is a must-have!
