This does BOTH things - it limits and it switches!In all seriousness, this was ordered to have on hand for a furnace as it's a part that seemed sketchy on the original furnace. We swapped out to this one, and now we have heat again. Much rejoicing.It's as shown, and easy to install. It matches the OEM part closely enough to work properly.

I have an older york furnace that had been locking out due to the roll out switch below the gas valve. I would reset it and sometimes it would work and sometimes it was still cause the fault code. I had watched the starting sequence several times and never once seen any reason for the switch to trip. I pulled it out and checked for it for continuity and was noticing it would lose that if i tuned it or shook it. So I'm guessing that is what was causing my furnace to not start. The switch must have been vibrating during start up or previous run cycle causing it to fault out. Since replacing with the new switch the furnace has been functioning great. Was nice to get a 2 pack to keep one as a spare or to use for one of the other roll out switches if they decide to stop working as well.
