How to Measure the Filter?

If you do not know the replacement part number, measure the filter as the following steps:

a. Measure the outside diameter of the cartridge in inches (+/- 1/16)

b. Measure the overall length of the cartridge in inches (+/- 1/16), including the end caps. Do not include any handles, strings, etc.

c. If the top and/or bottom is open, measure the inside diameter of the opening (+/- 1/16 inch). If the end cap is closed make note of its identifying features (i.e. “Handle”, “Cone”, etc.).

When Should You Replace Your Cartridge?

High Water Pressure:

When the running pressure of your pool filtration system starts to climb and doesn't come down after a deep cleaning of your cartridge, that can be a sign that the cartridge needs to be replaced.

Cracked End Caps:

If the end cap on either end of your cartridge has turned brittle and cracked or chipped, that cartridge should be replaced immediately to keep pieces from breaking off and damaging your system.

Torn Pleats:

The pleats do the filtering. If the fabric is torn or has a fuzzy appearance, the effectiveness of your cartridge has been compromised, and it should be replaced.

Crushed Cartridge:

When the inner structure of your cartridge has been compromised, your filter will look a bit like a crushed can. If this happens, it's time to replace your cartridge.

Filters are a good value, but do not easily slip into the filter housing like the ones that came with the spa. You have to force them to stay in while you screw on the filter top. Otherwise they seem to do the job.

These are terrible! I thought from the picture I ordered blue S1 filters we put them and they didn’t fit well (but had no others for replacement) opened it up there was brown gunk all over the inside cover and the walls Of our hot tub open up the filters to see what they look like and this is what we saw it was just gross we had to put the old filters in that we tried to rinse out thankfully we save them while we try to locate the right filters didn’t even realize that they weren’t the right ones but when I looked back on my order they showed blue the ones we got were green if you can see that underneath all the gunk on top of them.
