Installation was simple. The individual switches have little plastic flaps that hold them in place and they wear out after the first time when you take them out. You most likely take them out the frame to look at the the wiring. I took one out carefully but these little plastic flaps still worn out and the switch was loose in the frame. I have to order a new one right away. Have no other choice to purchase the same or very close identical since I cut out a hole for the switch.

Switches seem well made. Work as designed. It's China made, I'm not sure how it will hold up in a marine environment after some heavy use but so far so good. Be aware that it's pre-wired so all switches would run off of one breaker. As in 1 ground and one hot for all switches. This ofcourse will not do if you want your wiring done properly. When you try and remove the wiring that comes attached, it is very easy to break the switches. They are extremely tight and the retainers do not release them at all.. you must remove most of it to run them properly through a breaker or just on their own circuit etc. I have a total of about 25 of these switches on my boat, and out of 25 I broke 3 removing the series style wiring. I was extremely careful and have proper tools. I do 12 volt wiring daily as part of my job. So yes, they are pretty decent switches. Especially for the price. But beware you may break one or two to install them properly.

It's a great product and a great price. The stock harness is kinda laughable & they don't have a pin out - but a couple seconds of testing and you can easily wire them up however you want. Out of box, the harness caused the small slit lights to stay on at all times. Easily unhooked though and I'm gonna see if my dash light dimmer will drive those. The connectors are an odd locking type that I don't care for - so I simply used standard blade terminals and boom - not an issue. They are almost identical to stock 1989 jeep wrangler switch mounting. I just kissed the plastic with a dremel and the fit right in and locked and all. Creme de LA creme. It was a shame to discard the mounting plate. It was a pretty nice part. Well machined or however it was made.Cheap and seem good so far! When they get some weather exposure I may need to add a review suffix.

Switches work as described. Look nice on boat electronics box. Runs spreader lights and other switch runs light bar. I disconnected the full time light because I have them wire direct to battery rather than ignition switch. Not sure about water resistance as the boat hasn’t been in water yet this year. I used 316 stainless steel screws. Not the screws that came with switches. Obviously since they are new I can’t comment on durability.

I used two of these illuminated rocker switches when I installed relays to control underwater lights on my powerboat. I mounted the rocker switches in an existing AC/DC marine power panel. They look great and work like champs! The blue illumination is very appropriate as it is a close match to the color of the four clusters of underwater LEDs. If you don't want the illumination on all the time, removal of one wire at the back of the switch will turn off the built-in LED. I got a very professional looking installation at a bargain price and one of the supplied labels even said "underwater lights." BTW, these are so inexpensive that I purchased two back-up switches in case I need to match one if it fails sometime in the future.

I really like the switch however, pricey and no wiring instructions. I don't like the way the switches were wired, as I'm using it for a 5th wheel trailer- accessories. Bought one locally with 2 - USB charging plugs and a 12 volt accessory dock for same price. SELLER REFUSES TO RESPOND, AND REPLY BACK TO ME. No customer service . Avoid this seller!

Installed in my boat, works great, you might need to rewire a bit if you want each switch on it's own fuse. If you need help with that, get in contact with me.

I purchased these switches to use for switching low voltage (12 VDC) outdoor patio and landscape lighting. While I'm still building the patio so I don't have them installed just yet, I have tested them, and the small blue constantly "on" light on each one provides an easy way to locate the switches in the dark. Of course the larger blue light provides a clear indication of a switch being in the "on" position.I'm going to position them on the corner of a masonry clad outdoor kitchen, just under the countertop level. I found a weatherproof plastic box here on Amazon with virtually the same length and width dimensions as the switch panel, and cut out an opening to fit and mount the switches. The box will mount to the concrete block structure of the kitchen, and the stone installed on the face of the block will butt into the box providing just a slight reveal so the switches are easy to get to.I obviously don't know yet how well the switches will hold up over time. The reason for 4 stars vs 5 is because the rubber gasket seal under the bezel of each switch probably won't adequately seal the switches from moisture without some help since the switches don't fit as tightly against their panel as they might. So I'll probably not use them and instead put a tiny bead of silicone around the back side of each switch. Other than for this, the switches look and operate nicely.
