We've been looking for an ultra-portable backpack for hikes, taking our bikes to the grocery store, and other random needs. This definitely fits the bill as it packs down small with little-to-no weight, the fabric and stitching seems strong (including the zipper), and the grey color is also pretty nice and true-to-color in the photos. If you're looking for a bag like this that's ultra-portable, this is a solid way to go.

Disclaimer: I received the product (G4Free 25L Lightweight Hiking Backpack Packable Sport Travel Daypack Foldable Water Resistant for Women Men(Black) (Black)) at much reduced financial burden from Amazon's Vine Voices program in exchange for an honest review.Summary: Great for an emergency bag! Not comfortable as a primary pack.Pricing Opinion: At time of receipt, it was priced at 26 USD. My other one is 35 L for 30 USD, but it’s thicker when compressed.Pro:+Compresses to probably less than 1 L in volume.+Well stitched! Doesn’t come apart when carrying 50 lbCon:-To be so small, it necessarily cannot be well padded. The straps hurt if you put anything heavy in this bag.

This foldable backpack is impressively lightweight, weighing less than half a pound, and packs down to a compact 6”x6”x1” size. It barely takes up more space than a shirt in a suitcase, making it a perfect travel companion. Packing it up is simple—just stuff the backpack into its enclosed pocket and zip it closed. The pocket even has a small handle for easy carrying or hanging when stored. When unfolded, the backpack features adjustable shoulder straps with light padding for comfort. The straps are also made of breathable mesh material to allow airflow and can be clipped together in the front using a chest strap that includes an emergency whistle. The strap is adjustable in both length and position for a customizable fit, but it can also be unbuckled if not needed. Despite its lightweight build, the backpack is surprisingly spacious, measuring approximately 10” x 18” x 6” when fully packed. The backpack offers multiple compartments for organization. There’s a small zippered pocket at the top, which also serves as the pouch for storage when folded. The main compartment is roomy and even includes a divider for separating clean and dirty clothes. Two side mesh pockets provide space for water bottles or similar items. Inside, a small hanging strap with a plastic clip makes it easy to secure keys.Made from parachute-style material, the backpack is thin but appears durable and tear-resistant. While it is water-resistant, it is not fully waterproof, meaning it can handle light rain but may not keep contents dry in heavier conditions. Despite its compact appearance, the backpack holds more than expected, making it useful for travel, biking, hiking, or daily errands.Overall, this backpack is well-designed, practical, and extremely useful. It’s lightweight, compact, and comfortable to wear, making it a great choice for anyone looking for a reliable packable bag.

My wife and I were looking for a lightweight, packable backpack for travel ever since I left the last one on the platform of the train station in Vienna ;-) We love to bring one that we can fold up and stuff in our suitcase for schlepping stuff around our destination, where ever that may be.This is just about perfect for that. Well constructed out of lightweight nylon, not too big and not too small, with a number of thoughtful features.1. an integrated pocket at the top that when the backpack is not in use, that can be inverted and the whole think packed into it.2. Carrying straps on top, one on either side of the main zipper, than can. be snapped together to add an extra sense of security.3. A chest strap that makes it comfortable to wear the pack without it constantly threatening to fall off you shoulders.4. Deep enough side pockets to hold a water bottle without it falling out! That last one is a pet peeve of mine, as many backpacks like this have shallow side pockets which mean your water bottle is constantly falling out whenever you take it on or off.I said almost perfect - if it had another outside zipped pocket on the front for holding glasses, etc, it would be perfect. As it is, I'm psyched to give this a try wandering around SE Asia and Europe this summer.

When we go on car trips or cruises, it is great to have a day pack to use as we explore the local area. This pack is very lightweight (less than half a pound) and packs up super small (6"x6"x1") so it fits in your suitcase without taking much more space than a shirt. Packing it up is a matter of stuffing the pack into an enclosed pocket and zipping it closed. It even has a small handle to hold or hang it when in it's stuffed into it's pocket. When unfolded it has adjustable shoulder straps which have a bit of padding. The straps can clip together in the front, and the clip has an emergency whistle built in. The pack itself has one small pocket at the top (which doubles as the 6x6 pouch) and a larger main pack area which is about 10" x 18" x 6" when fully packed). It also has two webbed side pockets for water bottles or similar items. The material is thin - parachute style - which is a tradeoff you have to make if you want it to be lightweight and pack small. That being said, it appeared to be durable enough to pack heavy items without easily tearing.
