Weird that you could produce a meditation mat that's so lumpy and uneven to sit on. I will be searching for a traditional even and flat mat. I have a hard time getting comfortable on this cushy-but-uneven.

I wanted to put a dog bed down for my medium-sized dog, but there wasn’t a lot of room available. Voila - I repurposed this mat, covering it with a blanket for easy washing. Works great!

It's a good zabuton, but it's definitely not the best. It's reasonable for the price and I expect to modify it later on.Pros:1. Price was lowe than the others.2. Material is very soft to the touch and comfortable.3. It's large. At 3 ft wide, it can hold your body within its limits. 2ft deep should be enough for most.Cons:1. Lumpy. Though I didn't see it in the other reviews, this cushion is lumpy. I would expect as much from the material (cotton). The cotton Matt mat mat accessible and may be able to adjust.2. Placement of stitch-tuck (the 4 indentations around the center of the zabuton) is kind of counter to having a soft material. My knees (when using a bench) or ankles (when on a zafu) hit this stitching. Needless to say, there's very little padding in this area. I don't like this design and I'm tempted to just remove it.3. In the description, it notes that you can wash the cover. You can. But, the Matt is 3 strips of cotton, and you would have to reinsert this material. Because of the stitch-tuck, I guess this is reasonable and I expected something like it when I bought it.Overall its relatively comfortable. I would have preferred it without the stitch-tuck and possibly a little more matting (to fill those voids).

This zabuton is very soft. I don't even need a cushion when I'm sitting on the floor. It's really cushy. Its easy to lounge back on.

Great item! Large and oversized, with a very soft, plush cover. I use it daily and am very pleased with the quality. I consider this a fantastic value for the price, and am glad I decided to buy it.

This is actually Mary's husband writing this. It was given to me as a surprise and it was quite welcome. It is nicely made, soft and quite cushiony. I can now meditate easily for 20 minutes without my ankles and sides of my feet (when seated cross-legged) hurting. Next time I might order one bigger if made, but it is adequate and very comfortable.
