We purchased two of these for our patio area, and loved them so much we bought a 3rd one. Provides a nice soft glow and relaxing environment.Love the finish on the posts and lamps, and the classic/elegant style. We've had many comments from friends and family. For installation, we decided not to pour a concrete pad due to the layout of our patio and where we wanted the lamps. So, I purchased some earth anchors. Expensive, but did a great job securing the lamps.Highly recommend these lamps, you won't be disappointed.When we started preparing our patio for Spring/Summer we saw one of the bulbs was out. I contacted Gama Sonic customer support by e-mail, and they sent me replacement batteries instead of the bulb. I figured that was because the bulbs are supposed to last for 10 years. Anyway, it didn't fix the problem so I contacted them again, and they sent a replacement bulb. Still didn't fix the problem, so they sent me an entire top (solar panels, bulb, batteries in one assembly). That fixed it.Customer service was very fast in shipping the parts, and provided excellent service ! All the other lamps are working fine.

Great if you want to install it indoors! I put mine out front in the middle of a garden, first storm that hit and the wind snapped it in half, NOT bent over, but snapped in two and when it fell it wrecked one of the lights. This thing seems to be made of a cast hallow aluminum and the walls are as thin as hair! I wish I had taken some photos, but I was so upset I just trashed it. Managed to save two of the 3 lights and mount them on the walls of my shed! DO NOT spend this kind of money! In this case you DO NOT get what you paid for! Want to take a chance, buy a cheap unit see how it works, can't be any worse!Contacted them and this is their response:"Good Afternoon Paulo,Thank you for providing the photos of the model you currently have. Unfortunately, the warranty does not cover any weather related damage for the units.If you would like, we can go over replacement parts and prices for your current model.Thank you for choosing Gama Sonic Support Team!!"My answer to this:"That's fine we will never buy your products again and will be advising anyone we can to stay away from them. Many people in the neighbourhood have lamp post and not one of them ever gets even slightly damaged, I guess I should ask what products they are using. I hope you enjoy my $900 dollars on that $100 product and thanks for nothing!"

We love this lamp post. Its tarnished bronze tone is pleasing to the eye in the daylight and it adds a welcoming warm light to our front yard in the evening. Installation was easy. I decided to replace the supplied mount bolts with J-bolts that I set in the fresh concrete support. We surrounded the base with blue aster and dragon red sedum which will be very colorful in the spring.

Key items:1. Item is handsome with all features well-finished and fitted together. Received numerous complements about the design, looks, and the light produced during a large social gathering at our home. Added curb appeal with the classical good looks and burnished bronze appearance.2. Instructions are poorly illustrated or explained. However a person with common sense can assemble.3. Lamp is easily assembled by a single person of average mechanical experience with minimal tools.4. Lights are bright on the highest setting. To change the setting you must disassemble the top cover for each lamp. There is a low and a high setting.5. Mounting the lamps on the pose requires two people with one on a step ladder.6. Depending upon your situation, mounting the lamp base will require additional tools and skills. Three concrete anchors are included if you choose to mount on existing concrete pad. In our case, we build an 18" square concrete pad. This meant purchasing an 8 foot 2"x6" and building a form for the concrete. Also purchased three 6 inch long 1/2" j-bolts with washers and nuts as well as three bags of Sak-crete. Drilled out the previously drilled base holes for the new j-bolts. Mixed the concrete to a 4" slump and poured into 2x6 form. The floated in the base with the j-bolts already in base. Covered the nuts about the base with duct tap to protect from concrete in the threads.We have high winds on our hill and no problems with light or mountings. Our light is visible from over a 600 yards away and the Colorado sun keeps the solar charged so that even on the highest setting we have almost a full night of bright light. The unit provide a white light that is equivalent to a 150 watt lamp.
