Had no idea this existed. I had long ago shortened the release cable on my garage door opener to make it more difficult for "fishers" from reaching through the crack and releasing the door. This item completely eliminates that threat. Nice peace of mind at night and especially when away for any extended time. Solid heavy-duty feel and operation. My rails have several openings which the latch can fit through. Nice too that you can use a padlock to secure it in either the opened or closed position. You could always just use the existing manual lock mechanism that came with the door, but unlike that, this mounts on the inside and can't be tampered with.

Easy to install will work on most garage doors, comes with everything you need to put it on. You can even put a padlock through the latch.
