Great set of springs. Comes with Gloves and the Bars needed to turn the springs. Good quality springs!

I have done lots of home repairs but never had to replace one of these. After much hard-wringing about size and quality, I ordered this spring. Instructions were clear and it installed easily. Very happy. Only downside is the single spring does not come with torsioning bars (double sets do...). I am sure this is a competitive pricing thing.... but DO NOT forget to order some if you do not own some already. Torsioning one of these springs without proper bars can be dangerous.

I ordered this to replace one I had gotten probably 9-10 years of life out of from my local supply house. It was a standard spring and it worked OK, but it rusted over time and made noise when opening and closing. This new one with it's coating seems really nice and should last much longer and be much quieter with it's nice coating dampening any scrapey noise that would normally be heard - not just some cheap paint, it seems ! Supposed to be rated for more cycles as well. It is the same basic wire size, so we shall see how it holds up in the long term. I would definitely recommend this spring for your replacement !
