Did you know that in these modern times, you can't drink out of a water hose? And why would you want to, with that awful chemical smell? Apparently, we lost the technology of making water hoses that don't out-gas?I got this excellent filter, because I have to haul water to our off-grid property. I got this water filter, for Kevin and the turkey's. Kevin is our Kunekune hog. I was concerned about the water quality of the tap water I was getting through the water hose. You can smell it. Out-gassing of the plastic. A horrid chemical smell. Not any more!Now, Kevin and the turkeys get higher quality H2o. I've personally tasted this water, and its perfectly fine for the animals.If you give water to your animals from a modern garden hose, I highly recommend this water filter.

It's only good if you want to filter out chlorine from the tap. It does not reduce TDS but increase it. Black water comes out at the beginning. It has been same with other filters. Manual states that you need to let water run for a bit at the beginning though. I bought this to feed water into my hot tub but I'm not sure if I want to do that. Maybe in different application, this works better.

This garden hose filter by Brinquil is perfect if you need to reduces chlorine, bad odors, heavy metals, and sediments with a easy to use filter. The filter can be screwed and attached on a normal garden hose or faucet. This filter cleans the water quickly. The water that exits the filter is clear and clean. The filter can last for up to 3 months. The filter can clean up to 8,000 gallons of water. The filter is well build and wont leak. The entire filter body is plastic with the filter ingredients inside the filter. There are screens on both sides of the filter to keep the ingredients inside the filter in the correct order. This filter functions well and is a good value for how many gallons the filter can treat.

I live in an area with fairly hard water, and if you have a hot tub you're going to need a lot of chemicals to soften up that water so that you can have a good "spa experience". If you can some of the sediment and heavy metal components in the water before you fill up your spa, then you will be doing yourself (and your spa) a big favor. Your spa filters will remain cleaner and last longer, and you will require fewer chemicals to keep the water clean and properly balanced for your enjoyment. The product description says that this filter uses activated carbon and KDF material. Which, based on my research, are the most effective filtration materials for removing the unwanted sediment and heavy metals that are not good for your spa water.Please Note what it says at the end of the product descriptions, "For first-time use, let the water run for 30 seconds to flush out excess carbon particles." - BEFORE filling our spa. If you don't do this you might be dumping some extra dark carbon into your spa/hot tub!

I needed to add about 1k gallons to my 12k gallon pool. Water level was low going into winter and I let it stay that way since it wasn’t being used. Now I’m preparing for a busy summer and water level was top of the to-do list.Ironically, my city has the word “water” in it, but it isn’t known for its stellar water quality. It tastes bad and many people (me included) can smell the chlorine in it. I just swapped my pool to salt, I need to reduce the amount of chlorine going in, and I wanted to try an inline filter.Does the filter work? I’m leaning towards yes. I took a water sample to the local pool company, and other than high salt (recently added 200 pounds) everything looks perfect!

I recently received this garden hose filter, and what a difference it has made. I can now wash my cars without dealing with hard water stains, and it has also stopped the iron buildup when I water my hanging plants. I have a white house, and I used to notice iron stains from our water, but this filter has helped prevent that. I set it up inline specifically for this hose, and with the high mineral content in our water, it has been a great addition. I like that it significantly reduces sediment, chlorine, heavy metals, and odors, making a noticeable improvement in both cleaning and watering. It was easy to install, and I like that it works for up to 8,000 gallons., and I did not lose water pressure. I do wish it included the flexible hose short end. It does attach right to my faucet but it would have been a little better if it gave me that shorter hose to lead it from my faucet. This is a minor concern and does not take away from the product. It just would have made it easier based on where my faucet is located. It is also great for adding water to my pool, as it helps prevent mineral deposits, which means I do not have to use as many chemical removers to keep the water balanced. This has been highly effective in improving the water quality for both washing and watering.

I needed something for are outdoor hose that I use to fill the swim spa, I have no filter on this hose and with a deep well my water is hard and has iron. I used the filter for my last fill up of about 100 gallons and I had no discoloration and my hardness didn’t change when tested. The water appeared crystal clear.This filter is a different composition from my previous ones as when you move it you can hear the granules moving, my previous was a solid filter. The water flows easily through the filter at a good flow rate.The life of the filter matches the documentation of other filters, it does note that the water flow through the device will decrease at the end of the filters life.
