After several uses now, this garden tool set had worked out really good for me. The handles are comfortable to work with and have remained tight and secure even with continued abuse. The gloves fit on the big side and I use them for other things too which makes this set a great buy. Highly recommend!

Not asking for too much from these but they seem sturdy enough. Like the solid feeling aluminum (I think it is). Rubber on gloves is a little cheap; after 1 washing they seemed to be already a little work, but the price in the package was good. I'm a satisfied.

So I actually got these as we really got into making sand castles this summer and standard cheap sand toys break in 2 seconds. These units are nice and sturdy with a great handle to work with. Rake is not cheap of flimsy, I doubt you would be able to bend it.Very sturdy set of garden or beach tools, excellent quality.

Garden Tool Set 4 Pack, Heavy Duty Aluminum Gardening Kit Includes Hand Trowel, Transplant Trowel and Cultivator Hand Rake with Ergonomic Handle and Gardening GlovesThis set is lighter-weight and smaller/shorter than expected. However, they appear well-designed. It is hard to tell if the soft handles cover one-piece metal tool or it is inserted into the handle assembly. The information in the listing says 1st Heavy Duty Aluminum 2nd “made from high-quality aluminum alloy.” So, it is hard to say which it is.The gloves are almost an afterthought. While they look substantial and thick with padding, they are merely thin nitro-type gloves with a textured surface on the outside but thin clothe covered on the inside which will keep your hands clean and offer some protection but there is no padding to protect from blisters from any significant work. The listing says: “the reinforced blades” which seems to be marketing words as there is no reinforcement on either the trowel or “cultivator hand rake” that can be seen when in hand. The portion of these trowels that looks heavier where the blade ends and moves into the handle is actually hollow behind it vs extra material. They are much lighter duty than they appear. They are most certainly not heavy-duty compared to the actual heavy-duty tools they look like available at big box stores in the US for roughly 2.5 times the price combined. This is a great LIGHT set of tools to do basic transplanting. To do anything in heavy ground might not be best suited. The rake is substantial compared to its steel counterparts but the tines are not as long as traditional hand rakes that usually use metal rod stock. The “rugged handles” are some kind of plastic (white) with rubbering padded handles that are firm without being hard or soft foam (as many cheapo types). The handles have holes in them that could accommodate a leather loop as most came with at retail locations.A comparison of a few hand trowels I have is in picture #3. These are to me, by the thickness of the blade and weight of the tool, are lightweight but of superior quality (#2 & 3 of these 5)The thickness of the blade and handle and it being one piece all aluminum defines #5 as heavy duty to me. As most cheap shovels will bend and break. These two in this set are stronger than the two steel blades and will not rust and are unlikely to bend. It appears that the handles are not continued metal but plastic.I highly recommend this set but for LIGHT WEIGHT transplanting use. They are well-built but notably lightweight.

I ordered this set of handheld gardening tools to replace an old old set of tools that were (are) still functional but have somehow disappeared into the depths of my basement or garage, just when I needed them to deal with spring & summer gardening. This is a pretty standard collection of basic hand tools. I've used them a couple of times and they appear to live up to the "heavy duty" advertisement. They're standing up well to the stone-riddled soil that I have to contend with when I am locating plants in spots other than planters. Also a good size for repotting houseplants. Markings on one of the two trowels help with gauging depth. It would have been nice to include a hand weeder (I find them handy for many purposes).A nice feature of these is the handles- they have an ergonomic shape to them, comfortable in the hand and easy to apply leverage as needed. The set also includes a set of protective gardening gloves with knit cuffs. They fit my hands fine (adult female, med/large hands) but I expect that they would not accommodate typical adult male hands unless they are on the small side.As far as durability goes - they LOOK durable, they FEEL durable, but I guess only time will tell. I predict that they will last for many seasons (unless they disappear into the depths of my basement or the squirrels sneak into my garage and swipe them).

Does just fine for light around-the-home gardening projects. Certainly not a "professional" quality tool set - but they don't have a "professional" quality price, either.Overall, satisfied.

I'm keeping these for myself, but they do come in a pretty and wrappable box, so they would be a good gift set as well.Nice set of 3 tools - needed to replace the wooden ones I foolishly left in the elements over the winter. (My daughter and I do tend to leave our tools out in the garden when we're too tired to clean up - so hopefullly having a non-wooden set for a change will help extend the longevity).I love the built in ruler on one of the trowels - extra handy for playing bulbs and seeds and knowing exactly the depth you're at.The gloves are okay - I do like that the rubber/nitrile coating extends further up (as my fingers always get wet). I wear a size medium and these are on the bigger side for me (not so much that I can't work in them, but not sure they'd be comfortable for hours of work). Will probably pass the gloves on to my sons/husband.Overall a nice little set at a good pricepoint (under $20).
