If you're not planning to reconnect them multiple times, then they're fine. They loosen up in one or two uses, though. Then come the scary arcing noises.

Works great with 12 AWG wire. The barrel insulation doesn't crack/break off like with some cheaper crimp-on connectors when the crimp tool mashes down on the barrel. Not sure what the metal alloy is though. Scraping it, the metal doesn't look like tin-plated copper. The silver color seems to go all the way through (I see no copper color underneath and I scraped pretty deep). Couldn't find any info online either. Therefore, one star off for the unknown metal composition.
