I purchased these maps for my Garmin Fish Finder. Works great. I have Garmin navigation products installed in my boat and airplane. I trust them with my life and the lives of my passengers in the air. The quality of the Garmin fishing products is equal to their aviation products.

We tried to install this on a Garmin 740S. It would not install without 1st updating the software. We could not use the download option from Garmin as we had an old version of the Mac iOS. We purchased a pre-loaded software update chip from Garmin. This updated the software to version 4.50. However, this version appears to be too new for the LakeVU chip we purchased or we now have an incompatability problem between the plotter, software and maps. We're tired and frustrated, so thinking about replacing the plotter with one that has the LakeVU maps preloaded. It took months to work through this problem due to attempts at downloading the software update using Garmin Express and other projects. The window for returns expired in 30 days. BUMMER!

I bought this for the local lakes around Dallas. Lake Lewisville in particular is missing a prominent toll bridge and marinas. Free iPhone charts have better resolution and can have satellite view too. Would prefer quality over quantity of lakes.
