These are easy to install - honestly. The only complaint I have with the install - which I took a star off for - is the stock connectors these speakers come with. No speaker installs I've ever seen would have a setup that would accommodate you to just install the speakers stock. I cut the stock connectors off the speakers, then waterproof connect them to my existing wiring.I do love these though - I've bought 3 pairs of them for our houseboat and couldn't be happier. They disappear into the ceilings they are mounted in, and provide awesome sound. I would say, pair these with a sub if you want those deeper frequencies to shine through, but that's pretty much expected with any speaker of this size.Would buy these again if I ever needed to!
