Garmin Backpack Tether Accessory for Garmin Devices
The Backpack Tether features a durable nylon harness wrap with hook-n-loop attachment that can accommodate any style of shoulder strap with widths up to 3.75-Inch and is Modular Lightweight Load-carrying Equipment (MOLLE) compatible. When the device is detached from the hook-n-loop, the spine mount and adjustable (from 2-Inch to 14-Inch) lanyard cord ensure the device will stay with you at all times.

I love how the Inreach Mini 2 allows me to go hiking in the Appalachian Mountains without fear of getting lost when hiking off-trail to either a remote trout stream or a new summit. The basic subscription plan lets me keep my wife informed of my movement and progress. And the ability to call for help when away from cellphone coverage (often) for myself or others is reassuring. Plus, the maps downloaded to my Garmin app are very helpful for navigation. I’ve been turned around coming off a few summits, and the TracBack feature showed me quickly when I was headed the wrong direction. Excellent resource for those of us who like to hike in the backcountry.

If you purchase the backpack bundle, it will not come with the spline that you need to tether the inReach Mini 2 to the backpack mount. This is an additional part that you will need to purchase from Garmin. It is not made clear in the description. And one would expect a "bundle" to have all parts necessary to use the two together.

Full disclosure: I haven’t used the device yet, so take it with a grain of salt. I’m just writing this to make sure it’s crystal clear this does NOT come with all the required pieces and is deceptively advertised. This makes it look like the inreach naturally fits onto the backpack tether. It doesn’t. You will need to spend extra money to get an adapter to make the inreach fit the tether. Honestly kinda pissed.
