Painted pot metal to look like brass, timer and switch broke all within a few months. Extremely poor quality not worth the headache or the money.

Stopped working in 6 weeks. Timer clicks but no gas comes out. Reset button does nothing. Junk. now have to call the plumber back to replace it or just remove it and do without.

Fan of automation here - put this on my backyard gas outlet before the grill so that I don't have to walk out to shut off gas after grilling. It's a pretty good gas timer valve. Haven't had any issues with it, and it comes with reasonable adapters so that it should work with most common fittings.I liked that the manufacturer included an adjustment so that you can adjust the flow of natural gas before the timer. Every install may be a little different, of course. I use full flow for my converted natural gas grill so that I can use the low settings. I haven't timed how accurate the timer is, but it does shut off within a reasonable accuracy. No leaks here either, so overall great valve.

This timer stopped working in 6 weeks time. Had to remove it in order to restore gas flow to my grill.

Should have done this a long time ago. Shared grill and someone left it one and cost $150 of gas lost. This avoids this risk. Easy install on existing gas line.

I got this because our house runs on propane, and I want to simply pipe it to my gas grill and smoker. I want to put on the timer/shutoff so that if someone accidentally leaves the grill or smoker on, it'll shut off and not drain my entire propane tank.First thing I did was to check the screws on the bottom as instructed in the product description. Mine weren't loose, and I maybe was able to tighten them 1/8 turn. The timer itself works fine - it's a simple mechanical dial and has the ability to be turned to an "on" state.About my only disappointment is that I didn't realize it has no mounting holes, so it needs to be connected to hard piping, which can then be mounted or secured.
