This has been such a fabulous product that we used during the winter. My husband used to bring in the shop vac and vacuum the fireplace out. It is so much easier for him to carry the black tray out in the garage to dispose of. It makes less mess in my living room. It is well-made and very durable and I recommend this item.

Very nice and pretty sturdy. A little worried about the sliding gaps but I guess the idea is that you adjust it once and you don't adjust it again. Otherwise, not bad.

A lovely burning wood fire in wintertime is a great thing to enjoy with friends and loved ones, but no one can deny that a wood fire creates a LOT of work. Cutting the wood, splitting it and stacking it, hauling it in the house to the wood box for storage till needed, then starting the fire and gradually adding kindling and wood as the fire catches hold, all of this before being able to enjoy that warm fire! And afterwards, one has to clean up the ashes without getting them all over the fireplace and floor, or burning something due to a few hot embers left. THAT is what I dealt with for years and years, without having a handled fireplace ash pan, and NOW I know what I was missing for ease of cleaning! This ash pan really makes a lot of difference in the amount of work required to clean up the fireplace. For one thing, it is adjustable in size, so would fit a variety of fireplace sizes. Second, it has handles for easy grasping for removal from the fireplace. Third, the prospect of possibly dropping ashes or hot embers burning the floor is dramatically reduced, since the ash pan's corners are sealed. It is made of galvanized steel with a black powder coating, so it blends in nicely with the fireplace features and won't rust. As I age, I am ALL for anything that makes life and work easier! This is so handy, I don't know why I didn't have one 40 years ago!

My fireplace is small, so before using it, I wanted all fireplace utils on hand to maintain it and keep it clean. When I saw this Ash Pan I thought: what a great idea and smart way to keep the fireplace clean from excess ash debris.Assembly too about 8 minutes. Although I have to remove the handles to get the Ash Pan in the fireplace, it is still a useful tool, in my opinion, and will make ash cleanup much easier to accomplish.The pan looks great; it is well constructed. To me this is a wise purchase for fireplace maintenance.

It's trapezoid shape, not rectangular as pictured.I have gas fire pit with fake stone wood, but I usually burn wood in them.Since I have to lift the whole burner to place this ash pan, and I'm afraid I may damage the gas hose/connection.If you have any wood burning fireplace, this should be a good item to have. Making cleaning chore much easier.For me although it collects all ashes fine, but I don't think I can use on my gas fireplace with heavy fake stone wood for I may damage the gas hose trying to lift it while I try to put this pan underneath.

Glad there was options on sizes. Can go bigger or smaller. Easy to clean out and take out. Easy to put together. I am very happy with it. I have used it a lit the past two weeks no issues

This is a somewhat decent metal but not flimsy and would not try to burn logs on it and recommend that you follow as directed and use it for ash.
