MUCH easier to install on 2000 Ford e-150 than I expected. Belt was shot, so I decided to replace this and the idler pulley while I was at it. Glad I did!

As I was going to install it I realized the roller had some play in it. I thought the bolt holding it was loose but it wasn't. Come to find out it had a Chinese bearing that was of such poor quality that the play was in the bearing itself. I went to the local parts store and bought an SKF for the rip off of 15 bucks only to find out that it had play too, not quite as much as the bearing this tensioner came with but still fairly sloppy. Very disappointed in Gates for using poor quality bearings.

I used this when going 8 rib on my 2007 Mustang GT 4.6 3v (along with the factory tensioner, they're bolted together with Department of Boost spacers and hardware). I had to shim the pulley out with one 5/8" (16mm) washer to get my belt aligned perfectly. Now no more belt slip under boost or belt wear. I'm using this as the inside tensioner, and the original tensioner as the outside tensioner.

I found this here on Amazon for a decent price, fit was just like original. Actually this part was made in the same place as the original, so I feel confident that this will last for at least another 14 years, so now my belts will not slip now that it has the right tension.
