I want to say that since we haven't really had hot days yet, I dont know how well it can handle the heat of summer day in and day out. But I did get it installed and tried it out and I can say that it will cool down the room, or even the house depending on the size. It works so well. It doesnt have such a loud sound when it runs and doesnt have the old model look. This would be a great idea of smaller houses or rooms that just cant cool down on the heat of summer.

This is fairly small, but gives out nice blast of cold air. It's still cold here so didn't leave on for long as it got cold quick. Overall, seems well built, weighs more than I thought. Noise level isn't too loud at all. Will need to make a window support but I know this is going to be amazing in the summer. Good value.

I have a small section of my barn that is insulated so it does a good job of staying warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer, but summer is still summer. This unit is perfect for my area. It was a breeze to install in the window and kicks out the cold air quite nicely, (we've had a handful of almost 80 degree days this spring). I can't say for sure yet that it will have a nice long life as it is not yet summer when I'll be able to run it truly through its paces, but I expect it to work as well this summer, when the heat is on. At this high of a price point I have elevated expectations and hope to not be disappointed. Nice unit!

This window air conditioner is a solid choice for cooling medium-sized rooms. The 8,000 BTU cooling power works efficiently, and the Wi-Fi-enabled feature allows for easy control via smartphone. It’s energy-efficient, making it perfect for the summer months!

We have an older home in a temperate climate--but of course, even temperate climates have a few weeks of unbearable days in the summer. We have a mini-split to cool the main living areas but no A/C in the bedrooms. The master bedroom becomes particularly hot at the height of summer and so we're going to give this a try to help make things comfortable (and stop sleeping on the couch in the living room during heat waves!).Right now, we are still experiencing late winter/early spring temps, so we gave it a trial run and I'll update this review once installed if my opinion changes. Right now, we are please--it started cooling instantly and is not as loud as other window or portable A/C units we've dealt with before. It is lighter weight than expected, which will help when it comes time to install. The nice thing about it being from a trusted brand like GE is that it comes with really good installation and operation instructions, nothing feels like it was translated by a website. One of the best things about this is the remote, which will allow us to adjust the temperature from bed. We are now ready for summer!

Setting this up was simple, but I’d suggest a pro or two people who know what they’re doing to ensure it’s leak-free and secure. It cools my bedroom decently, holding a steady temp even on muggy days. The fan settings give decent airflow flexibility, and it’s no noisier than other window units I’ve had.The smart controls are useful, I can switch it on from my phone before I’m home. The app shows usage data, good for tracking energy if you’re curious, though I rarely look. Alexa pairing needs some tinkering, but it works fine once connected. The app can be spotty so don’t toss away the remote just yet. The Eco Mode cues the fan when the room’s cool enough, saving some power. For a medium sized space, it keeps things comfortable without any fuss.

Well, it's winter so I only could test this but no continuous use. Works well it seems well built with some nice features. . So far this looks to be a nice unit and will do the job. We'll see how long it last. One last note this seems to be a little overpriced for what it is but appears to be a new release.Note the specs on the web page show an incorrect shipping weight. this is 52 lbs..

This works great! I have mine set up in my home gym to make my garage. Feel a little bit nicer in the summer months. I love how it fits perfectly in the window and it does a great job of keeping the area cool. It is not super noisy And puts out a lot of air. Overall, very impressed with the quality and how well it works. This is the first time I have tried a window air-conditioning unit and this one works much better than I thought it would. It actually helps keep a space cooler.
