Must have part if.you plant on bashing your truck or car very hard. It's a direct fit for the xmaxx and adds plenty of extra support.

i was almost convinced that this was not going to work in my Xmaxx, because me being me the smart time saver was determined to install this without removing the pinion or loosening the motor, i must have fought this for an hour right into dark thirty (past rc bedtime here in the sticks) then it accrued to me if i took off the pinion it would go right in and it would have if i didn't fill my grub screw with super hard allan wrench end (love that when it happens) then i fought it for another hour before it donned on me i could loosen the motor luckily got all four screws loose without breaking poor alan anymore and all went together extremely easily. i love the extra support that should have been done at factory in the first place but hey you need to save as much money as possible at the expense of your customers right? this is america after all. don't be like me and rush RC it will always bite you in the worst places arrrgh. (crying)
