The wire turns green inside (copper sulphate like powdery substance). Conductivity was lost, I was cursing the switch and butt connectors, but it was due to the wire core turning green inside due to oxidation. This is when I understood what they meant by oxygen free wire :)

used this for 12v solar panel project. powered x2 100 watt panels into a solar charger. the outside wrap feels nice and good quality. should withstand the sun hopefully for a couple of years. i crimped into O or C terminators. the wires never ran hot. wish they had the same wire with low voltage but in solid core. still good quality wires.
