I wanted some wobble sockets to change out the spark plugs on my 23 F150 with a 3.5 ecoboost. The OEM plugs are a sp596 and these worked great. The internal magnet is very strong and I had no worry about the socket dropping plugs. The long extension worked for the front and middle spark plugs and the 4 inch with another 4 inch extension worked for the rear ones near the firewall.I wish the set was a little cheaper, but the quality is superb.

These made the job of changing out spark plugs on my 2013 F150 with the 5.0 an easy task. Bought them based off a youtube video I saw from Ford Tech Makuloco. These different sizes made it simple and the magnet design works great. Didn't have a single issue with any of them.

I bought these magnetic spark plugs sockets to work on my Ford 3.5 Ecoboost after I read several recommendations about them. I’ve been amazed how useful, and above all, essential these magnetic swivel sockets are ! You can’t realise until you use them over an engine. Deep spark plug holes, interference above and around the holes….these sockets will save you. The swivel gives you access throughout all interferences and angles and allow to handle the torque straight over the spark plug without damaging it, magnetic feature makes sure you won’t drop the spark plug. I read few reviews about magnetic element not glued deep enough in the socket, few reviews with broken magnetic element (scary, you do not want debris to be dropped in that area). None of these happened to me. I noticed on the pictures provided by whom which situation happened, there was no « blue glue » around the magnet inside the socket. Not sure about it, but the presence of the blue glue inside may be an upgraded version. Mine got blue glue and worked very well, not problem.

How many of these can I buy and loose in my lifetime? They're the perfect tool for the job. But the frequency of the job makes it absorb into the same dimension that 10mm sockets go to. Just put it on re-occurring purchase and accept your fate.

Nice to have different lengths. Magnetic and keeps the spark plug in the socket. The different lengths are ideal. Still had to use a shorty for front drive v6 under windshield / cowl. Stays all stays together while removing from plug in the head.

Makes it so much easier to change plugs in a 5.7 hemi (the drivers side back and passenger side second from back in particular). Game changer for 2/16 plugs, and worth the purchase just to make those 2 less of a risk to your knuckles

Having the swivel extension attached makes sure you don't have to worry about the socket falling off, and you can work in tight spaces. The magnet holds great and hasn't dropped a plug yet.

This is honestly a "where have you been all my life" tool. No more stupid foam inserts. No more worrying about dropping the plug into the hole. I did the 16 spark plugs in my Hemi and not one of them made me question my existence. The ball and socket swivel is smooth and awesome—add a wobble joint at the other end if you need to, and you can go around corners.

Used to change out spark plugs from my 2007 Dodge Ram 5.7 Hemi, these things are a god send for reaching the spark plugs by the firewall on both sides, you swear the wrenches were specifically designed for the Hemi engine

Whether you are a DYI'r or professional mechanic, the right tools makes completing a job easier and faster. In the past, I have used spark plug sockets that failed to hold the spark plug in place or that had rubber inserts, which usually came out when I did not want them to. There is also a guessing game of what socket extension to use and also clearing obstructions (like steering components) where you might need an additional swivel to remove or install plugs.I'm not saying that the GearWrench 3 piece magnetic spark plug service kit is going to totally eliminate all that but, in most cases, it will. A swivel-head attaches each magnetic spark plug socket to an extension of various lengths. The ball-and-socket swivel allows about 10 degrees of arc and are solidly pinned to the socket head. A magnetic core is bonded internally to each socket and effectively retains spark plugs and minimizes damage.Although tight when new, the socket swivel may loosen after use and after time. That is not unique to this product, as it is a weakness of all swivel joints.Extensions of 4-inches, 6 inches, and 11-inch lengths allow for greater in removing and replacing spark plugs.I was at first concerned about the bonding of the magnetic sleeves, but the spark plug socket engages the plug below the magnetic sleeve and does not place a strain on the magnetic insert. Ensure that the spark plug is fully inserted into the socket before inserting into the spark plug hole. I did not have any problem with any spark plug failing to center properly inside the socket.A sturdy, hard plastic case keeps the sockets organized and protected. A thin piece of foam prevents the sockets from rattling, should they become dislodged from their wells inside the case.I recently used these on a V-6 Dodge Caravan and an S10 Blazer and I am very happy with them. The cost-benefit ration of having these in your tool box is excellent.

I bought this set to change out the spark plugs in my 2005 Toyota Tacoma. The spark plugs are set deeply into the heads and require not only an extension on your socket, but special extended reach spark plugs. I did not know how long of an extension that I should have to start/complete the job, so I sprung for the set before I tackled this project. Besides, I don't really need to be prodded into buying tools, they are ALWAYS useful for other projects.Upon opening the blow molded case where the sockets/extensions are stored, I was impressed that there was a light coating of oil on all of the metal to prevent rust from forming. There was also a closed cell foam cutout to cushion the tools just in case. The extensions are permanently attached to the sockets to prevent them from separating when you are working in the confined area of the spark plug and coil pack. Naturally the socket has a magnetic quality to it so that the spark plug you are removing or installing does not fall out.KD Tools is a great name in tools, I have some others and they are made in the USA. However, this particular set is made in Taiwan. That is not in the item description and I was disappointed to find this out. Closely examining the socket set it does look quality made, I just appreciate tools made here if that matters to you as well.If you are curious, on my particular project the 11 inch extension was perfect on the passenger side of my Tacoma motor. On the driver's side I needed to use an additional extension from my tool box to clear the surge tank. This tool set made it so much easier to take out and install the plugs. I'm sure it cut down on my swearing time!
