There's no way this is gearwrench brand it was gear ranch brand that show Closer pics and you you would see gearwrench written on the tool itself scam

Decent set for the price. The part that holds the tube got cross-threaded while being used but so did the other set from HD so that just means they're both substandard quality which I expect for the price I paid.

For the price, this kit performs adequately. I purchased this kit more than a year ago and it was exactly as pictured by Amazon. The double flaring adapters have too thin of a stem and do not center themselves well during flaring. The bubble flare adapters could be designed better also. So I can agree with others that it can be difficult to achieve good flares. However. with technique and some muscle, it does work. All flares I have made do not leak under pressure. I have been flaring tubing for 20+ years and prefer the hydraulic flaring kits, but I could not justify their cost for at home use.

This Flaring tool looked great when I first opened it. The Tubing cutter works good and the deburing tool worked great. BUT out of 20 double flares that I attempted I may have had 2 good ones. The only reason I am giving this tool 2 stars is that I really liked the deburing tool. I returned the tool without a problem and bought a ridged model 23337-345DL and have not made a bad flare yet.

I Just received this tool in the mail today. I have used several flaring tools over the years and this one is a great looking tool. I look forward to using it. Everything looks so well made. I own several k-d tools and have always been thoroughly pleased with the quality. This set looks no different. I concidered the OTC set, but this has set has a better review and I can see why. Went to work today and used the tool. Nice quality. A lil tricky to do the double flare, kept wanting to walk over on me. With a couple test crimps, all is well. Everything, even the reamer, feels high quality.

This is a great looking kit, has everything you should need for bubble or double flare, single 45 deg even old euro bubble. Problem is it cant actually make any useable flares. The holding blocks are not machined correctly, it holds the line crooked, crushes/deforms the tube and the seat is misalighned, the bubble adaptors do not have the correct bevel to make a bubble end as the tip of the tube ends up flat. The cone does not float once there is pressure applied so it grinds it self in and ruins the double flare by leaving a slag ring. I tested this tool about fifty times on scrap line, most of it was Poly-armor and factory GM steel, despite careful preperation and extreme detail during setup it could not make a straight flare. Forgot to mention the damage to the line by the "teeth" of the die block, any coating on the line is destroyed. The only useful parts in the kit are the reamer and the tube cutter, they do a good job.

Modern, up to date tool to replaced my 30+ year old flaring tool. Appears to be of excellant quality, although I have not used it yet.

I'm redoing brake / clutch / fuel lines on an old truck and got tired of the cheap-crap loaner tools from the local autopars store.Upon inspection - this kit is high quality - even more-so than the photos on Amazon show. It is heavy, chrome-plated steel and comes with *two* 3/16" flaring dies. The clamp grabs the tubing and holds it fast - though I have not tried stainless - you'll never have steel tubing slip again. The die clamp is designed for quickly fitting over the tube clamp - instead of having to slide it on from the side. It's a small perk, however, if you're working on a lot of flares - you'll be happy for the shortcut.The included cutter is small, but is a quality piece and sharp - not sure on its durability just yet. One big plus is the deburring tool - you'll love the fact it gives you such a smooth surface that your flares come out perfect.
