I typically don't write reviews but I will for this. After installing , the battery died 1 hr later on both doors . This disables entry and it locked me out. Luckily I have 2 other ways to get inside. It did not warn of low battery. I added 5 fingerprints and my kids print stopped working so I had to reprogram 2x and it still stopped reading it. Mind you , all this in the span of an hour. It's too late for me to return because it's a new house and took long to finally install these so it was a complete waste of money. Super disappointed for sure. Do not recommend, period.

I was worried when I ordered this, afraid I would screw it up and lock myself out of my rooms! The first thing I did was plug in the handle to charge just in case I needed to use the emergency key! But surprisingly it was not hard to install or program. Just remember you fingers should be clean and dry when you go to unlock the handle. It does have a lock out if you don’t use a programmed fingerprint, so if anyone try’s and they are not programmed in, it will tell you, the handle goes into a temporary lock down! The one thing I don’t like, or maybe am not understanding, to remove someone who is programmed in, they have to be present..? That could create a problem if you want to remove someone who is no longer welcome to access the room! I bought 2 and would definitely recommend them. I have been using them for over a month and I am satisfied! Just be careful if you have a doorstop that is not below the handle. My door stop is a rubber bumper that is handle level on the wall, if I open the door all they way it hits the button on the inside handle. Overall I am very satisfied.

Easy to install.Quick tip.Once installed, the device was reading any finger and I was not prompted to add admin fingers. Way around that, easy. Remove the batteries and wait for about 20 seconds, reinstall batteries and you should be good to go.

I've gone through several variants of this type of fingerprint lock, and this one had so much potential that it's very upsetting that it had a deal breaker design flaw! As usual I'll list the Cons first, as this is what most people are trying to find out the most:1) The design flaw IMHO is that you can't enable Passage Mode without first physically opening the door. So to enable this feature you must first scan the admin's fingerprint, which is where the door opening comes in.Afterwards you press the mode button once to enable Passage Mode. I prefer just the single press (or even a double, long, etc. etc.) of the button from the inside to enable or disable Passage Mode. I'm sure that they "intended" this admin scan to be a security feature, but let's face it if you're on the inside of the door already, then what's the point? Anyone can open the door from inside, as well as factory reset the lock with two long presses of the button, which will then let any fingerprint in and/or to be set as the admin. So the initial admin verification really doesn't protect against anything.2) The Silent Mode doesn't work for me. I press the mode button four times as instructed, and though the handle states that voice is "off," it still jabbers away like normal! Tried factory resetting it, removing/replacing batteries, etc., and it still showed no sound/talking difference between voice "on" or voice "off." As a note, the five button press for the battery check indicated that my version (firmware?) was "123" if that's meaningful to anyone. Now for the Pros:1) Price for what you get is dollar for dollar the best I've tested thus far. At the time of writing these were $48 + 5% off each if you buy two. Though there are cheaper brands/models out there, what you get for this price is the best I've seen, which leads me to my 2nd point...2) The build quality compared to most variants of this sort of lock is by far the best. It is at least the same build quality as other brands/models that are nearly 2X the price! In addition to the locking mechanism being obviously better quality, it also comes with the rubber gaskets that the higher end models do, a Type-C USB port and cable (most are micro USB and don't come with a cable at all), spare screws, a battery holder that actually indicates the correct battery orientation (+/- and pictogram), a double screw battery cover (most are a single screw, which makes the handle have some wobble/play), and no wires or circuit boards to worry about when changing said batteries (again most units in this price range expose these when the cover is off).Honestly I'm super disappointed with this lock because of the aforementioned cons. Perhaps #2 is just a defect; however, con #1 is intentional and just plain dumb IMO. I have other cheaper and more expensive variants of this lock type that enable/disable the Passage Mode with just the single interior button press, which makes them more like a regular lock that uses a fingerprint instead of a key... something I think that most buyer are looking for on non-Bluetooth variants such as this one. Had this one been the same in that respect, it would have been hands down the best version out there with its quality and price point, and those pros are the reason I'm still giving it 3 stars. Personally the cons are a deal breaker for my needs and wants, and I'll be returning these to Amazon.
