I use yellow plastic chain links to delineate my commercial property from my neighbor's. I use plastic because I don't want the liability for damaging a car, but I know it's not as sturdy as a metal chain. This Geelin 600ft Plastic Barrier Chain Yellow Plastic Chain Links Weatherproof Safety Link Crowd Control Barriers Garden Fence Decoration is much cheaper than the ones I was using, and it's about the same quality. I can't break it with my hands, but after it sits in the hot sun, it becomes much more brittle and I end up having to replace it often. With 600 feet, I have a lot of extra that I know I will (sadly) use when crazy people or cars tear it up.So if you are using this for aesthetics, it works great since it's brightly colored and easy to unravel. But if you're really trying to create a sturdy barrier, eschew plastic.

This is very basic but good quality yellow plastic safety chain. It's perfect for marking off areas that you need to keep people out of and for basic crowd control like forming a line for people to wait. I wouldn't recommend using it as part of a guardrail system or as part of a fall protection system as I don't believe it would hold the required 200 pounds when pressure is put on it, but I could be wrong.It's exactly what I was in need of and is exactly as described. It's 600' of plastic chain in a big bag which is inside of a big box! If you need plastic barrier chain, this is for you!
