It worked for what I needed. Was more difficult to install than expect, but not because of understanding, but applying the understanding of how to install it while working with the tension of this torsion bar in a limited space. There are three tension settings preset into the frame of the trunk, I chose slot #2 when I installed and found that I have to give it just a tiny push to finish closing the hood if I let the hood down gently. The further down it is, the more tension. All I needed to install this was a screwdriver and a lot of patience to make sure everything lined up during install. As a hint, align the part of the tension bar that connects to the trunk hood hinge before opening it all the way or it can be forced out and you will have to restart the process all over again.

I had to order this twice. The first time, just the shipping label came in. The seller refunded my money and I ordered again. The second time, everything was fine. Really easy to install and it feels so good to have a functioning trunk again.
