Fits my older 2 1/4" Vertical 200 Amp Main Box just fine. Simple and easy to install, even comes with the drill bit and all the self sticking labels to meet your code installation requirements. Works perfect for locking out your street power when operating backup generator and locking out backup generator when street power is restored. Keep in mind that this is interlock only switch. It is a manual switch, so you must be physically present to make it work, it is not an automatic transfer switch. Keeps you line workers safe while they are restoring your street power, no power can feed back down the lines with this installed. Bit pricey for 2 small pieces of alum with labels. However, it would cost you more to machine out your own, and you'll pay a lot more to have a pro install this. If you can drill 3 holes and operate a screw driver, you can do this yourself in about 15 minutes.

I was thinking about just making my own, but the components and stickers make this kit worth it. They even included a drill bit to make the three holes. I did one hole on my drill press, but the other two I did with a hand drill because the cover wouldn’t fit under my press. I use an awl to knock a dent right where I needed the hole before using the hand drill. I used the base plate and a sharpie to mark the holes. Pretty quick install.
