I bought this bulb about April 2018 and it has faded away now and I have bought another 1 and all I am hoping is the new bulb lasts just as long. I can't complain about a general purpose bulb especially given the price range.

The lamp is fine, but part of the case was broken when arrived. When I installed the lamp with the case to my TV, it did not work. After so many tries, I had no hope at all. So I called Amazon, and Sony technical support, to get online manual. I also searched online to watch videos for how to replace the bulb. Eventually, I have to remove the bulb from the new, broken case, and put it to the original case which has the original cable on it. It finally worked! I think either the new case was not good due to broken piece, or the cable in the new case was bad. It took me almost a week to make it work since I am not a handy woman and I have to work during the day time.

This is the 2nd replacement lamp I have ever purchased for this TV. The first time I went with another supplier who charged about 8x more then this supplier. The lamp was as advertised. Worked out of the box with no problem. It does appear to me that it may not be quite as bright, but I won't say that as a fact, just my opinion. Overall given the price difference with other suppliers, I am very happy with this lamp.

This product was exactly as ordered. The bulb and overnight shipping cost less than 1/3 of what my local TV repair shop wanted (total amazon cost with shipping 103.97 vs the 317.98 my local TV repair shop wanted). Some reviews left me concerned as they stated that it was just the bulb. This is not the case THE BULB COMES MOUNTED IN NEW HOUSING! How many TV repair men does it take to replace a light bulb? None, it is as easy to replace as plugging a power cord into a socket. No extra tools are required.

My sony projection lamp blew out on a Friday night. I scrambled on Saturday to find one locally in Kansas City area and found several from TV repair shops that wanted $175.00 to $225.00 for a new lamp. I then got online and found one for $125.00 already to be plugged in. I ordered it with regular shipping. It arrived on the following Wednesday afternoon. It is brand new as advertised and took less then 2 minutes to remove old lamp and plug in the new lamp. It's been in over a month and working great. I'm going to order another lamp to have on hand so when this one finally goes out I will have a back up. My original lamp lasted 3 years which I understand is good for a projection TV. I recommend to order online and save alot of money.

Ordered the item on MLK Day so overnight was a little tardy. The packaging was secure and the lamp arrived in perfect shape.Installation instructions were accurate. The lamp and its plugassembly were perfectly aligned for installation so reading thedirections took more time than replacing the lamp.Almost anyone who can change a light bulb can do this on their own.I may order a spare lamp soon before the price increasesor this Sony model is discontinued. Also cheaper for slower shipping.A friend shared that two years is the actual expected lamp lifefor the number of hours each day that most viewers watch their TVs.

I received the replacement lamp in May. It was NOT the same as the original. The lamp failed in September, after only 4 months of use (it should last 3 years). Because it was going to take 2 weeks to get a replacement under warranty I purchased a new lamp locally. I then returned the defective lamp under the warranty program and another lamp was sent to me. I didn't even open the box, thinking I would keep it until the current lamp failed in 2 or 3 years.Last month, I did open the box, and was very upset to discover that the replacement lamp was also defective. It was flopping around in the plastic housing (it should be secured), and there were loose plactic pieces in the box. Needless to say, I contacted the company to return the 2nd lamp. Two weeks ago, I recieved the 3rd lamp from the company. Once again, it was defective, having the exact same problems as the 2nd (lamp not secured, plastic pieces loose in the box). This time I grabbed my camera and took photos of the defective lamp and the plastic pieces in the box. I contacted the company again to get this replaced, but it has been over a week with no response to my two emails. In short, I've spent good money for a lamp that should have lasted several years. What I've gotten is three defective lamps. Not only would I NOT order this lamp, I would NOT do business with this company.....ever!

We bought this in April after contacting a TV repair shop because our Sony 60 was blinking the 5 blinks of death. He suggested we replace the lamp first and it turned out that is all we needed. The shop highly suggested we buy the lamp from Sony but since it was just a test we decided this lamp was was more cost efficient. We are super pleased that this lamp with housing has worked great since. It was super easy to install. Currently I would buy again.

After much searching for a replacement lamp to revivify my Sony KDS 60A2000, I thought this lamp seemed like the perfect solution. Installation was fairly easy, and the TV was as bright (or brighter) than new. Unfortunately, six months later, the bulb is failing. Spending over one-hundred dollars every six months is not acceptable when LED-LCD TVs of a similar size are becoming so inexpensive. If the bulb lasted longer, I would recommend this product without reservation. However, a six month lifespan is unacceptable for both the price and annoyance of changing the bulb.
