"Genie’s Wireless Keypad is a system for easy access to your garage without the need for a key. It features a flip up cover to protect the keypad from the elements and lets you control up to three Genie Intellicode garage door openers manufactured since 1995. The keypad features a back light which means you can easily see to enter your code even at night.
With auto seek dual frequency technology (315MHz/390MHz), the wireless keypad helps to ensure the opener will respond regardless of possible nearby frequency interference, and it can operate Genie garage door openers that work on either single or dual frequency technology. The Intellicode technology the keypad is equipped with keeps your property protected by automatically changing the access code every time you use it, thereby preventing access from unauthorized persons.
The Genie wireless keypad is a great way to allow temporary access to your garage by setting a temporary PIN that can be provided to repair persons, meter readers, house sitters, etc., while you’re away, without compromising your family’s private entry code. I got this to replace aftermarket keypad which failed. This work good for my older genie intellicode garage door opener. Instructions are easy to follow. Did come with batteries but mine were dead no big deal.

Using this on two garage doors for a 3 car garage and set up only tool about 5 - 10 mins with my older genie garage door systems. Works great. Worth it.

I bought this to go with the Genie garage door opener that broken somehow. Replaced it with this one, itwas easy to connect after watching a video online . Would highly recommend it. It's been up for a couple of years l guess and just have to had batteries once or twice a year depending on how much you use the key pad.

I recently purchased a Genie 7305-PV garage door opener that I am very pleased with.Unfortunately the Clicker Universal we had was too old and not compatible/programmable to use with the new opener so I purchased this.So far I like it much better than the Universal and would recommend this instead if your opener is a late model Genie.The build quality and materials are better, the backlighting is better, the "flip" cover is better than a "slide" cover, and programing is easier and faster. The instructions are good and I "taught" it my garage door rolling code in about 2 minutes. It came with two name brand AAA batteries. Those might not last as long as a 9-volt but then again they are a more common battery these days.I read another review that said this opener is a security risk because after you put in the code "you can just hit the open/close button and re-open the door". That is only true for about 3 seconds. After that you have to re-enter the code to re-open the door so I don't see that as a problem unless a bad actor is right by you. The 3 seconds is also true for closing the door which some people have said is annoying but is not to me.One detail I'll note is I only had one door to program so I can't comment on how it works for two doors.

The instructions about setting it up are good in regard to using the KEYPAD on the REMOTE opener. Where they aren't so clear is in the instructions in regard to the physical garage door opener hanging from the ceiling in your garage. You have to study the panel on the MOTOR to match up with the instructions. If you have trouble like I did - search for a genuine Genie YouTube video for help. That made it a lot easier.Otherwise, it works fine. If yours has the ability to connect to a Genie app on your phone, use it. Have you ever left home and wondered if you closed the garage door? The app will alert you when door is opened or closed. (as long as you can get a WiFi signal in your garage)
