There does not seem to be a recommended service interval for this item for Pontiac G8 GT. Most forums state around 50-70K mikes. I just replaced mine and it was pitch black at 50K. The fluid starts essentially clear. I'm thinking around 40K from now on. This is the only fluid recommended for a stock G8 GT differential. Do not use anything else as this has special properties for the internal components. I have replaced mine regularly, and the diff has 188K.

It's differential oil, what else is there to say about it. It is expensive and I needed 40 ounces. I only changed 32 ounces worth and recycled the other 8 ounces. I know that I put the correct fluid in so it's worth the piece of mind as opposed to buying some other generic oil that may or may not harm the differential. I put this in a 2009 Pontiac G8 GT.

This is the stuff GM recommends for my Pontiac G8, has the correct specs for the LSD that your car may or may not have. Be sure to check the part number for the fluid you're supposed to run in your vehicle.
