Used to be able to adjust the axle but with the tires place on the 2014 Chevy volt. With this new nut, tires have to be off the hub. Sad!But it serves the purpose.

This stopped the click sound upon acceleration (or sometimes deceleration) on my 2012 Chevy Volt. 36 mm socket is required which is up from the standard 32 mm. I couldn't tell any differences in surface area on the side that faces inward compared to the old one. But it solved the problem.
