I replaced the rim bands, tires, and tubes on two Trek bikes. These worked great on the 26" rims. They seems durable and protect the tubes from the spoke ends. They were less expensive than most and fit right. I had to make sure to insert the Schrader valve through the hole first so it doesn't try to pull the band through the hole and cut it. Happy riding!

So if you have a 26 by 1-3/8" wheel 70s Schwinn you probably have a S5 rim. You can not substitute and use a fatter 20mm wide rim liner. I tried it and it didn't sit right and when the tube was inflated it caused a blowout. This liner is 12mm rubber and works on the vintage Schwinn's.

These rubber rim strips were a great value for the money. They were easy to install and they had a good thickness but also not to sheer. I would buy them again for my other bicycle.
