It works great. The only thing just make sure you put it in the correct way.

I'm an older woman, so I couldn't do this myself, but took my mower to a recommended shop - took this belt and a new blade I also bought online, and the tech had no problem using 'my' parts to put on the mower. Gave it a great tune-up, and also sharpened my old blade and gave it back to me to keep as a spare! Can't beat THAT as GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!

To replace just the drive belt there's quite a bit of things to do, but it is not really hard at all. It can be done quite easily with a few tools and patience. Disconnect the spark plug and turn off the fuel flow to the engine for safety. Highly recommend having an empty (or near empty) fuel tank and drain the oil (great time to do an oil change too) so that you can minimize leakage when you turn the mower on its side to access all fasteners (air filter side up). DO NOT remove the four bolts holding on the back cover for the drive transmission unless you want a mess, and want to replace the (10W-30, most models, but check for your specific model) oil in the transmission case--don't ask me how I know. Also, to get to the nuts on the plastic shroud near the rear wheels, move the height adjustment all the way back to rear so you can get the rear wheels out of the way for easy access. One must take off the plastic protective shroud; five 10mm nuts, plus one 6mm hex wrench screw on backside near the bag chute exit--I'd recommend gluing in the t-nut to the plastic shroud for the 6mm hex bolt so it does not fall out when re-assembling, and pay attention to what bolts go where--two of them have "shoulders" the other three do not. Next, remove one of the retaining brackets (under blade drive shaft, both bolts off) and loosen (recommend leave one bolt in, but loosened) the retaining shroud under the drive transmission (both are 10mm nuts). This will allow you to remove the belt with some manipulation at the drive transmission shaft. The mower blades do not need to be removed, but I changed out my 12-year old blades since this Honda mower is in excellent shape. Loop new belt over the mower blades and then replace in the pulley at the transmission and retighten both bolts. Slip the other end of the belt on the pulley at the blade shaft, and then just re-assemble the rest in reverse order. Be sure that the grass chute door (Bagging) goes back into the hole in the plastic shroud on the left rear wheel; you may have to "feel" for the hole and align the shaft so it goes back together properly. Adjust both back wheels to the height you want before placing the mower back upright.

Good product but Honda did not make replacement easy. Very painful!

Not the easiest belt to install.. you have to have a 10 or 11mm open end wrench. I had to bend the belt holder a little bit and bent it back. Belt worked fine.. no issues..
