The hair beader is easy to use and does not need batteries. Can entrust a mature child to bead their hair or a friends. Comes with pony beads, elastics. The rest of the kit is really a bunch of pipe cleaners, a few headbands and sheets of nail stickers. A bit pricey for what you get.

My granddaughter had a lot of fun using this to make headbands at our dining room table. The only thing is that inevitably some of the pipe cleaners ended up on the floor and my dog stripped one of them so it was just about bare wire. This could be an issue around small children or pets. But if you have a good play area and keep this in mind, it's a fun craft project for the kids in your family, especially to do in groups at a birthday or holiday party. Keeps them occupied for a solid hour or two.

My daughter absolutely loved doing this together! The kit came with diy headbands, nail stickers, and the hair beading kit. The hair heads was my 3yo favorite thing in the kit! We spent a good 20 minutes beading each others hair (: a must buy for the littles in your life!

I picked this up for my daughter, and she really enjoyed opening the box and creating her own headbands. She just turned 9 and was easily able to lead herself through the activity. She was very pleased with her results and only complained that the glue dots don't work well. This was something we were easily able to fix together after the googly eyes fell off her creation. (I super-glued them back on.)The fact that the glue dots don't work terribly well is the only reason for four stars instead of five. I love the fact that they opted for glue dots instead of another type of glue, as they don't make a big mess and are relatively safe for children to use, but it seems it would be nice if they were a bit stronger.
