This is the best budget viper hood or upper ghillie setup you will find. I have put this thing through a lot of use and I love it.

Price of this product has been fluctuating but if you’re able to snag it for under 70$ there’s definitely value. Stitching seems light but once you had ghillie scrim to it, it should be fine.Overall buckles, shock cord, and sleeves are a good fit for a variety of chest sizes.

The base fabric strikes a decent balance of thick enough but light enough, and the stitches seem trustworthy. There is lots of room for scrimmage, so you can successfully break apart the upper part of your silhouette with this.One gripe I have are the plastic clips for attaching the cape: they have too much slop to them and it makes them rattle whenever they are under movement. I replaced the clips with better quality ones and haven't had the issue again.Sizing could be explained better. The best way I could put it is this is like an XL hoodie. It might not fit over very thick winter clothes if you're a bigger person, the chest/neck strap could use a little more room for adjustment, and it might just be way too big if you are a short king

(Update): Outstanding. Wore this hunting multiple times and added a few different changes, one of which was sewing a loose foliage loop in place. But other than that, it makes a durable, and comfortable Ghillie base.(Original): This is a LythaHarvest? Hood, but it turns out Rocotactical and Lytha are the same company, go figure. The hood has a ton of elastic adjustment points, which could be replaced with paracord in the field if necessary, I snipped a few of mine off because I didn’t need them. The cape buckles on the back allow the user to either purchase, or make their own cape, which is very useful, but buyer beware, they shine and rattle. I removed mine.I remember a review on one of the other hoods complaining about its size. I am blessed by the genetic Gigachads with enormous shoulders, and on top of that, I have worn up to 7 layer’s underneath it for deep winter hunting, including a puffer jacket and Carhartt coat… together… that’s right 7! (If this hood doesn’t fit you, I’d advise you head to the gym, or you’re probably an ogre.)The color is dark khaki, not tan nor coyote. buckskin maybe? Also smells like a Chinese warehouse, that smell went away with wear. It also had a small amount of loose threads, but also had many fused threads, which is uncommon, but very welcome. Easy fix.When all is said and done, this is a great hood, with a good price tag. It is durable, and fits very well. I look forward to making it a ghillie.

I don't have any complaints other than the coyote brown is lighter than I would have hoped. Its a unique addition and it matches the pictures and what was advertised.
