I love these large plastic scissors and use them in my art room to demonstrate scissor safety, holding and using a scissors with students. The kids love the visual of these and think they really can cut - they don't, but I love that they think so. They were pretty cheap and a must have for an art teacher!

I'm satisfied with the quality for the cheap price I paid! They definitely are just props and wouldn't actually cut anything, which they clearly stated in the description, but I figured I would confirm. They do open and close, though.The hand in the picture must be a child or very petite person, though, because the scissors are definitely not that large in comparison to my hand.I will post a picture after I use them with my costume later this week!

I ordered these scissors for a school event I was running. We had our whole school (private girls high school) join together in an activity to create a virtual community / city. Everyone had to have an active roll in the community and present something tangible to show for it (ie. architect showed a blueprint of city, real estate agent had a listing of all houses sold and how much they sold for, dance studio made a dance and singer songwriter composed a song for the occasion)... At the end of the night long program, we had a sit down meal as official ribbon cutting ceremony. We couldn't afford $200 real scissors on our budget, but these were just perfect :-)

Absolute junk. I know this is a cheap item but it is just garbage. I would not recommend that anyone buy it.

I really like these scissors because they look great as a photography prop. We used them for a ribbon cutting ceremony and were quite pleased. Of course, you should know that you can't cut anything with them, but that's not why we purchased them.
