I often use a cajon with a kick pedal to add percussion and rhythm while playing the guitar. I've used multiple pedals with cables and sooner or later the cable wears out. This mount provides a simple way to add a kick pedal directly to the cajon. It's solid and the action is better than with a cable drive. Just make sure you get a beater designed to work with a cajon rather than a standard kick drum beater.

This device did not come as pictured. The mount end is not padded as the sale image implies.This device is not long enough to fit my cajon.Is there any way I can request one be made 3 inches longer and trade this one back? I doubt anyone from the company will respond to that question.I’m probably going to have to find someone who has the tools to cut and weld a piece of metal to make this 3 inches longer, otherwise it is useless. The problem is that will probably cost more than the thing is worth.They should make 2 sizes. One for standard size cajon and one for larger sized cajon; or even better make One that is adjustable in length to accommodate a greater range of cajon sizes.

I purchased a cajon for my pro drummer friend, and also purchased this pedal mount so the cajon could be used as a "kick" drum (bass drum) for rehearsals and semi-acoustic gigs.The pedal works great -- it fits the cajon, and most importantly, provides a good mount for the kick pedal. In addition, we also purchased a cajon beater so the usual felt or plastic beater wouldn't mar the surface of the cajon. This mount is adjustable, and easy to use, so I feel pretty comfortable recommending it for any size cajon.

Works terrific. I have two cajons and this fits both easily. I found it less expensive to just purchase this mount, a kick pedal and another cajon than to deal with a cabled kick pedal that's apparently going to break in a couple of months anyway.
