Excellent product quality - my husband is very happy with it! Picture on Amazon, tho, is of a 6 prong and not an 8 but we did get the correct product. We took a chance and ordered it despite the picture since the description was for an 8 prong.

Got my 50 year old drums out of storage and found that at some point back in the day, I took off the bottom heads from the toms, and I couldn't find them all. Got this as a replacement and it fit perfectly, is sturdy and well made, And looks just like the other hoops on my kit. Win!

This hoop saved my floor tom. My tom was making a terrible noise and the culprit...a bent hoop. I ordered this one to regain the sound of the tom and it fit perfectly and I now have a beautifully singing floor tom.

Sturdy and pretty. Quality hoop. And don't get all hysterical because California might think it contains something that causes cancer. They seem to think EVERYTHING causes cancer.

My toms were not sounding great and they were hard to tune. And I use a tune-bot. I have a Mapex Armory 6 piece set. I can’t remember the thickness of the factory rims but these Gibraltar rims are heavier and will stay in round. My rims were over 3 years old and were looking haggard anyway. These new ones look great and my toms sound better.

It does make a difference to the tone of a drum to go with a medium thickness 2.3 mm rim. Big improvement over thin hoop the drum came with. Last week I ordered a snare batter rim in 2.3 to replace a die cast rim on my Ludwig Supraphonic snare. Much too rigid when they are that thick. Now it's perfect.
