This will add a layer of protection between the table cloth or your clothes but they are not that rigid/sturdy. You carry them around single handed loaded with a plate of food. They are made of laminated paper and could be used a few times but if the food soaks through the paper plate you would have to toss it. I will continue to search for something better.

These chargers are great. They arrived packaged well so none were damaged. The burlap print is lively and will be useful for a variety of tablescape themes. I look forward to using these for my next few parties!

These chargers are great. The burlap look goes well with many tablecloths and plates. We host a LOT of larger dinners and look for ways to vary them and make them a little nicer. They are easily wiped clean and reused. They have a fairly hard vinyl like finish that is easy to clean.Recommend!

These chargers are so cute. They go great with my 1970s era dishes. They are very sturdy and with a little care, can be reused quite a few times. These will be really great for casual dinners.

I ordered these charger plates as a means for my older girl, picnic party. The plates will fit the theme perfectly and they are super cute and thick to really support the holding of plates. These are sturdy and durable.

They are printed on thin cardboard and look like it but they do add something to a place setting. They have a thin, plastic type coating so I supposed they would be wiped and used again if you really wanted. The edges aren't sealed so you can't submerge them or get them too wet. They are advertised as disposable, take them at their word and don't plan to reuse.
