I have a 1984 alpha 1 gen one out drive. Gimbal I purchased for this out drive is .015” larger in diameter compared to the gimbal being replaced. Does not fit. It is deplorable someone would sell these manufacturing rejects to unsuspecting public.

Quality was very nice, but wanted a greaseless or no grease gimbal bearing.

The bearings were the wrong size. 1.5 mm oversize. Do not buy

The gasket fell apart on first install attempt. Does not fit alpha one gen one with the 4.3 mercruiser. Outdrive shaft will not pass completely thru bearing.

Junk! Whoever makes the bearings in these kits better check their quality control specs. Bearing did not even come close to fitting in housing. Bearing was way big!. Would not recommend this kit.

Got the kit everything looked great. Removed old bearing and new would not fit into the transom. Measured od .020" larger than original. Had to modify to fit. To add insult to injury. the gasket was extremely brittle and with a slight touch snapped.I would not recommend. Buy a better brand. Its in the boat so we will see if the bearing holds up
