This gimbal works pretty well, but has some deficiencies. It takes a while upon powering on the gimbal for it to balance correctly. It's a little off at first, it seems to take about 5 or so minutes for it to calibrate. Learning all the features takes a while, there's a lot to take in. There are some cool things it does, and you need to spend time learning them all and figuring out how to incorporate them into your shots. The remote function is nice, so if you're using it in the tripod mode to take pictures, it comes in handy. You can connect via bluetooth, which seems to work well enough. Using the app with it, there's some latency to take into account, but there's some cool features with that. Overall, I like it and it's a nice addition. My main use so far is using it for the tripod to take still photos and family pics. If you're needing something to take cup your game as far as shooting video, it should do very nicely.

This Gimbal Stabilizer for Smartphone has its strengths, but it’s not without its shortcomings. While it’s great for certain uses, the gimbal function could use some improvement.Works Great as a TripodAs a tripod and selfie stick, this product shines. It’s stable, lightweight, and very convenient for taking group selfies, live streaming, or recording videos. The remote control is a nice touch, making it easy to capture shots from a distance.Gimbal Function Needs ImprovementAs a 1-axis gimbal, it doesn’t perform as smoothly as expected. It struggles a bit with stabilization, so if you’re looking for something to create professional-quality stabilized video, this might not be the best choice.Versatile but Not PerfectWhile it’s a versatile tool, it’s better suited for use as a tripod or selfie stick rather than relying on it solely as a gimbal. For casual use or simple recordings, it does the job, but don’t expect advanced stabilization.Final ThoughtsThis Gimbal Stabilizer is a good value if you’re primarily looking for a phone tripod with some extra functionality. However, if smooth gimbal performance is a priority, you may want to explore other options. Great for casual users!

For being so small and light, this tripod is incredibly useful! It can be used in the stationary setting or as a gimbal. There's an also an app that pairs with it, though I admit I haven't quite figured that out yet, as this does everything I want to even without it! Fits easily in my purse for shooting content on the go :) Love it!

The set up process is very difficult and time consuming. Once I was almost there and finished with setting up, it was time to download the app but the reviews were horrible! ! Claims that the app will drain your phone of information from several reviews. I chose to not download it just to be safe. I just have a gimbal on hand for now.

This Gimbal Stabilizer is pretty basic when I compare it to other ones out in the market. But it is also about 1/2 the price. It is a compact and relatively lightweight gimbal with functionality like change from vertical to horizontal, spin shots, stabilizing, with a detachable remote so you can use it when it is in tripod mode. Not only is it a gimbal, but it can act as a tripod - legs just open and slide down, and a selfie stick. The extendable neck is made of plastic which seems a little iffy, but slides up and down smoothly. The fill light I think is not very bright, but okay for close-up lighting. You would likely need more if you are doing anything more than taking a photo. The light changes color modes from cool to warm. You need to charge the gimbal (as I have never used one, I at first thought that you could use this without turning it on, but the bearings didn't want to stay in a purely vertical or horizontal position unless you turn it on.) Then it acts smoothly as it should when you turn it on. I like the detachable remote and the multifunctionality of a tripod and selfie stick. This makes it more of a consumer type product - travel use. It doesn't really have the features you'd need for more pro applications, but if you want the basic functions of a stabilizer (to improve videos), a tripod for longer exposures, or a selfie stick, this single device can do them all. Jack of all trades, master of none. I am not a pro, so having all the features in one makes it more ideal for me - and the value for the price makes it a 4*.

I never worked with a gimbal stabilizer before, and I was skeptical of how well this would work, but it really surprised me!The biggest thing is to make sure that you insert your phone correctly before using it. I did mine upside-down, once or twice, which became obvious when switching into portrait mode. My tip there would be to put the stabilizer into the portrait position before installing your phone, because when you install it in the landscape position, you have to try to figure out or remember which way it turns when it goes into portrait. Also, this doesn't take feedback from your phone to do the leveling... if you put the phone into the gripper crooked, then it will maintain that crookedness, not correct it. In other words, it levels itself, but doesn't level the phone. So just be careful how you insert your phone, and all is good. The app was pretty decent and I like that the remote control can be stored in the handle, and also removed. Also, this product is kind of like a 4-in-one... it's a selfie stick, it has a gimbal stabilizer, it's a small tripod with a detachable remote for taking group photos, AND it has a built-in light with selectable color temperature. Very cool!
